WftzgkIyjt- MoEF&CC October 25, 2019Įlephants are enlisted in Schedule I of the Indian Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, and in CITES ( Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora). There are 30 notified & 1 proposed Elephant Reserve in Khasi, Meghalaya. The Project Elephant is presently being implemented in 22 States and supports 5 elephant rescue centers in the states of Haryana, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka & Kerala. ![]()
